Garcia Marquez to write new book.
It has been reported that Nobel prize-winning author, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, is working on a new novel, despite announcing his retirement from writing two years ago.
Fellow author Plinio Apuleyo Mendoza said that Garcia Marquez, who wrote One Hundred Years of Solitude, has written four versions of a love story and is endeavouring to finalise a copy for publication.
However, according to the The Carmen Balcells literary agency which represents Garcia Marquez, a date for publication has not yet been set.
The Guardian said that Marquez is also reportedly preparing a second volume of memoirs to follow his Living to Tell the Tale, which was published in 2002. His last literary work, Memories of my Melancholy Whores, was published in 2004.
