Garber Travel Announces e-Fare Notification System for Business Travelers.

Business Editors/Travel Writers

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 13, 2002

Garber Travel has implemented an automated notification system that will help protect business travelers and their corporations from losing significant amounts of money on unused airline tickets.

The major domestic airlines recently adopted new guidelines related to nonrefundable tickets. Under these new guidelines, travelers will lose 100% of their ticket cost if they do not use the ticket for their scheduled flight or do not rebook themselves on an alternate flight prior to their original scheduled departure. The new regulations may lure travelers into purchasing fully refundable airline tickets, which are available at significantly higher fares and with more rigid rules.

Garber's e-Fare Notification System was developed as a means to protect their customers that have opted for a more affordable, non-refundable ticket. Clients subscribing to this service will receive an email notification approximately 2 days prior to departure reminding them of their impending travel and the non-refundable ticket policies. If there has been a change in plans, the traveler will be instructed to contact Garber Travel to discuss options for retaining value on their ticket.

The newest addition to their suite of products, Garber's e-Fare Notification was fully launched on November 4, 2002 and will be offered to a number of key corporate travel accounts.
