Gang jailed for prison drone plot; NEWS WIRE.

A BRAZEN gang used a drone to fly drugs and mobile phones into a prison.

Police busted the audacious plot to send the device swooping high above HMP Risley and land it in the hands of criminals inside.

Renelle Carlisle, 23, of Chestnut Crescent, Preston, admitted possession with intent to supply. He was handed three years and two months in jail.

A prisoner in Risley - Andrew Walch - and two accomplices Umar Abdullah Hamid, 26, and Paul Dunn, 28, were also arrested.

Walch and Dunn admitted conspiracy to convey prohibited articles and got 41/2 years and four years and two months respectively.

Hamid admitted conspiracy to supply Spice outside prison and was handed eight months' custody.
