Gang in custody.

POLICE are appealing for information following the arrest of six people for burglary. The break-in happened at an address in Tower Street, Hendon, Sunderland, in the early hours of Tuesday. Thieves got away with credit cards, passports, jewellery and assorted electrical items.

Neighbour Inspector John Connolly said: "If someone offers to sell cheap electrical items or jewellery please let us know as it could well have been stolen."

Four men aged 27, 26, 22 and 20, and two women aged 26 and 22 were held in custody for further police questioning.
