Here's a glimpse of Microsoft's XBox console which was sneaked on to the Net even before Bill Gates could unveil the machine. And it looks like an old Sega Saturn. Yes, boring.

Rumours that Nintendo has entered talks to buy Sega for around pounds 1.4 billion have been gathering pace since the story appeared in the New York Times. Both Japanese games giants are denying the reports.

A new batch of PlayStation 2 consoles has started hitting the shops - 400,000 will be in Britain by the end of March.
