Games: LIBERTY FREE TO GO.
Byline: Steve Lawson'sTAKE 2, parent company of Rockstar, have announced that Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, originally a PSP exclusive game, will be released for PlayStation 2 this year.
Also confirmed for release in 2006 are Rockstar's controversial school game Bully and two PSP games, one of which is described as an "all-new" Grand Theft Auto.
MICROSOFT chose the Consumer Electronics Show in Vegas (see main feature) to reveal that a High Definition DVD drive will be released for the Xbox 360 this year. So far it's looking unlikely that the external drive will be for playing HD games - just movies.
RISING Star Games are to release Bubble Bobble Evolution, a version of the 8-bit platform puzzler, designed especially for PSP.
Evolution sticks to the original gameplay but has new features that fit with the classic Bubble Bobble style.
The old single screen levels have been pumped up to include three linked areas to jump between and, along with the traditional challenge of trapping the level's monsters in bubbles, your path is blocked by new puzzles.
