We Happy Review PS4/Xbox One/Windows Set in an alternate post-WWII Britain and something like a cartoonish Clockwork Orange, We Happy Few tries to blend dystopian narrative with roguelike survival.

Unfortunately it falls just short on both counts. In the town of Wellington Wells, the majority of society are on literal happy pills called joy to bring order and forget dark pasts.

Those that do not opt in to their medication have to find another way to survive. The three main characters are forced to make choices that impact on a partly randomly generated world.

But the surrounding and story doesn't break enough ground to make it feel like it's more than a lingering afterthought.

world and The gameplay mechanics of looting and crafting is tough to grasp and not intuitive enough. It's tough to get truly enraptured with the fans looking to this title for the 'next Bioshock' will have to carry on waiting.
