Gadget of the month. (Manager).

The first day back at work in January can be a depressing experience. The party season is a distant memory and summer holidays are months away. That is why so many people start looking for new jobs in the new year. If you think your staff are scouring the job ads and updating their CVs then forget trying to catch them out by lurking behind their PC. Instead, set up the Spycam, a miniature radio-controlled camera, which beams back colour photos of what up to four employees are really doing when they claim to be studying the latest monthly report. If your staff seem genuinely engrossed in the management accounts, you could always move Spycam to the stationery cupboard to see whether the rumours about Brian in bought ledger and Sarah in sales are true. www.thegadget shop.com
