Gabes: volume of export from commercial port rises 10%.

(TAP) - The volume of exports from the Gabes Commercial Port reached one million 600 thousand tonnes in the first ten months of 2017, up 10%, compared to the same period of 2016.

These exports consist of industrial chemicals such as fertilizers-DAP, triple superphosphate, ammonium phosphate, DCP-dicalcium phosphate, aluminum fluoride, phosphoric acid and cement.

These figures were presented Thursday at a meeting-debate on export organised by the Southeast Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in collaboration with the Ministry of Trade.

Participants emphasised the need to create a container shipping line from the Port of Gabes and a representation of the Export Promotion Centre (CEPEX) in the region.
