Gabe and Allie race through time.

GABE AND ALLIE HAVE BEEN TRAVELLING THROUGH CANADA'S PAST IN SEARCH OF THEIR MISSING TEACHER, MR. FINKLE. THEY STILL HAVEN'T FOUND HIM, AND NOW THEIR TIME MACHINE IS FALLING APART. WORSE, SOMEONE FROM THE YEAR 1867 IS ABOUT TO DISCOVER THEIR SECRET ...

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

I ... W-W-WHAT'S ...

W-W-WHO ARE ...?

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

OH MAN, HOW ARE WE GONNA EXPLAIN THIS ONE?

HE FAINTED!

I DON'T BLAME HIM. IT'S NOT EVERY DAY A HUGE, WEIRD-LOOKING CONTRAPTION APPEARS OUT OF THIN AIR.

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

HURRY! WE'VE GOT TO FIX THIS DOOR AND GET OUT OF HERE BEFORE HE WAKES UP!

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

RIGHT!

THAT WAS SOME DREAM.

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

WOOHOO! We GOT OUT OF THERE JUST IN TIME! ANOTHER VICTORY!

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

VICTORY ... VICTORY ... WAIT A MINUTE ... I THINK I KNOW WHERE MR. FINKLE MAY HAVE GONE.

KEEP TALKING!

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

REMEMBER WHEN WE LEARNED ABOUT WORLD WAR II IN SOCIAL STUDIES CLASS?

MR. FINKLE TALKED ALL ABOUT THE CELEBRATIONS THAT TOOK PLACE WHEN VICTORY IN EUROPE WAS ANNOUNCED ...

WORLD WAR II ENDED IN EUROPE ON MAY 8, 1945. THIS BECAME KNOWN AS VICTORY IN EUROPE DAY, OR VE DAY.

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

FINALLY, AFTER SIX YEARS OF FIGHTING, THERE WAS PEACE. MILLIONS OF PEOPLE REJOICED.

HERE IN CANADA, HUGE CROWDS CELEBRATED IN CITY STREETS ACROSS THE COUNTRY. THE BIGGEST CELEBRATION TOOK PLACE IN TORONTO.

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

MY MOTHER WAS THERE. AND WHEN I WAS A BOY, SHE USED TO TELL ME ALL ABOUT IT.

I STILL WISH I COULD HAVE SEEN THAT PARTY WITH MY OWN EYES.

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

YEAH. I REMEMBER THAT.

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

TIME TO PAY A VISIT TO VE DAY!

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

LET'S JUST HOPE THE TIME MACHINE BEHAVES. IT'S GIVEN US NOTHING BUT TROUBLE ON OUR LAST TWO TRIPS.

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

ACK!

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

THERE'S NO WAY WE'LL FIND MR. FINKLE IN THIS CROWD!

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

WE'LL, WE'VE GOT TO TRY.

BUT FIRST LET'S SEE IF THE CAMOUFLAGE BUTTON IS GOING TO COOPERATE THIS TIME.

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

NICE. LET'S GET MOVING!

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

ARE YOU OKAY, KID?

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

N-NO. I CAN'T FIND MY BROTHER.

WE CAME DOWNTOWN TOGETHER TO CELEBRATE THE END OF THE WAR, BUT WE GOT SEPARATED.

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

DON'T WORRY, I'M SURE HE'S LOOKING FOR YOU.

HE TOLD ME IF I GOT LOST I SHOULD WAIT FOR HIM IN FRONT OF CITY HALL. BUT I DON'T KNOW HOW TO GET THERE.

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

WE CAN'T JUST LEAVE HER ALONE. WE NEED TO HELP HER.

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

I REMEMBER MR. FINKLE SAYING THAT CITY HALL WAS AT THE CENTRE OF THE CELEBRATIONS.

I BET IF WE FOLLOW THE GENERAL DIRECTION OF THE CROWD, WE CAN GET THE KID TO HER BROTHER AND MAYBE FIND MR. FINKLE AT THE SAME TIME.

IT'S WORTH A SHOT. BUT THE CLOCK IS TICKING.

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

JUST 26 MINUTES TILL THE MACHINE TAKES OFF.

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

THERE'S CITY HALL!

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

UGH. IT'S LIKE I SAID BEFORE, WE'LL NEVER FIND MR. FINKLE IN A CROWD LIKE THIS!

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

PATTY! PATTY! OVER HERE!

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

THERE'S MY BROTHER! THANK YOU!

ALLIE! WE NEED TO Go!

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

BUT, MR. FINKLE ...

NO NO! WE HAVE TO GO NOW! I GOT DISTRACTED AND FORGOT TO KEEP TRACK OF THE TIME.

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

WE ONLY HAVE THREE MINUTES TO GET BACK!

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

IT'S GONNA BE A CLOSE CALL!

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

MR. FINKLE'S WORKSHOP, PRESENT -DAY.

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

PHEW! ANOTHER DISASTER AVERTED!
