GVA Williams seals New Roc eatery deal.

Jani Restaurants, a chain of 13 Chinese and Japanese Hibachi eateries throughout New York and Connecticut, is heating up a new location in New Roc City, a 1.2 million s/f retail and entertainment center in Downtown New Rochelle.

GVA Williams of Connecticut represented the tenant and the landlord, New Roc Associates L.P., an affiliate of Cappelli Enterprises, Inc.

Scott Lifschultz, executive vice president of GVA Williams of Connecticut, negotiated the 15-year lease, valued in excess of $2.5 million. The 5,530 s/f lease also offers two five-year options.

Jani, which opens this month, joins New Roc City tenants Regal Cinemas, Applebee's, Modells Sporting Goods, Bally's Sports Clubs and Zanaro's Restaurant, among others.

"We are pleased to have consummated this transaction in one of the premier mixed-use projects in Westchester County," said Scott Lifschultz, Executive Vice President, GVA Williams of Connecticut. "Jani will prove to be an excellent addition to New Roc City and the surrounding community."
