GULL LABS SETS EUROPEAN MEDICAL DIAGNOSTICS CONFERENCE SALT LAKE CITY, July 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Gull Laboratories Inc.
(NASDAQ: GULL), a Salt Lake City-based supplier of medical test kits,
announced a European conference on diagnostic testing for its
international distributors. Gull's First Annual Distributor's
Conference, "Diagnostics: '92 and Beyond," will be held Sept. 16-18 in
Zurich, Switzerland. Guest scientists from Gull and European research
laboratories have been invited to speak on recent advances in
laboratory testing for infectious diseases. Marian Narr, Gull vice
president of International Sales and Marketing commented, "This
conference is an ideal vehicle for further strengthening our position
in Europe and Eastern Asia at the same time we are sponsoring the
dissemination of scientific information."
Over the last 15 years Gull has built up an extensive network of
international distributors, which now account for more than 50 percent
of the company's revenues. The company recently reported mid-year
revenues 44 percent ahead of 1991, with export sales running
56 percent ahead of last year. Earlier this year Gull Laboratories
negotiated new contracts with all its major European distributors and
is planning on establishing a physical presence in Europe within the
next 12 months.
