GUEST SUPPLY ANNOUNCES FOUR NEW AGREEMENTS
SOMERSET, N.J., May 21 /PRNewswire/ -- At their annual meeting,

Guest Supply, Inc. (NASDAQ: GEST) today announced it has signed a new agreement with Promus Company, which operates Hampton Inns and Hawthorne Suites. Contracts have also been signed with Guest Quarters and Harrah's. In addition, an existing agreement with Hospitality Franchise Systems (HFS) was expanded when HFS acquired Days Inn. These agreements represent a substantial increase in Guest Supply's customer base.
"These agreements demonstrate our ability to continue to gain market share despite the most severe decline in the lodging industry since the 1982-1983 recession," said Clifford W. Stanley, president and CEO of Guest Supply. "Our sales grew 7.9 percent in fiscal 1991, ended Sept. 30th, and 9.4 percent in the first half of 1992, ended March 31st. We feel this is proof of our overall growth strategy."
"Guest Supply is poised to fill larger orders as the economy recovers." Stanley continued, "significant market share, new customers, geographic expansion, new products, vertical integration and contract manufacturing position Guest Supply for rapid growth as GNP, an indicator of hotel demand, grows. Furthermore, luxury hotels, hardest hit by the recession will begin to increase orders of higher margin amenities."
Stanley is optimistic. "After our return to profitability in 1991, we expect a significant improvement in earnings for fiscal 1992 in the historically strong second half."
Guest Supply is the leading manufacturer and marketer of toiletries, personal care products and other amenities, as well as house keeping and accessory products to the lodging industry in the United States.
