GUASA staff distance itself from strike.

Peshawar -- The Gomal University Academic Staff Association (GUASA) has distanced itself from the proposed Black Ribbon strike saying the teaching staff will continue their routine teaching and research activities. 'GUASA believes in rule of law and will support all the activities as per Act and statutes'. The General Secretary of the association said in a statement issued the other day.

He said as no elected member of GUASA was present in Federation of All Pakistan Universities Academic Staff Association (FAPUASA) meeting held in Peshawar and GUASA was not taken into confidence in advance about the issues, hence there will be no black Ribbon strike in Gomal University and the teaching staff will continue their routine teaching and research activities as usual.
