GUARDIAN ROLLS OUT NEW WHEELCHAIR LINE
ARLETA, Calif., June 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Guardian Products breaks

new ground with the introduction of the Hoyer Wheelchair line, a new series of wheelchairs featuring exceptionally rugged construction designed to provide years of dependable service.
The Hoyer H series wheelchairs use a heavy duty, chrome plated steel frame and sturdy, molded composite wheels to withstand the rigors of long-term use while yielding maximum strength and stability. A unique tipping step pad enables attendants to manage curbs and bumps with ease. Tough composite footplates adjust to fit each user's leg length, and a user friendly design allows for easy maintenance of the chair.
"We saw a need in the marketplace for a high quality, inexpensive chair that would be ideal for fleet rental or institutional use," explains Steve Winston, vice president of marketing. "We believe so strongly that our product's quality is superior to others on the market that we have backed every chair with a three-year unconditional warranty on the entire frame."
Two Hoyer wheelchair models are now available: the standard H 1000, which features single embossed seats and backs and plastic armrests; and the premium H 2000, which offers padded, double embossed, vinyl upholstery for maximum user comfort. The H 1000 comes with grey or light blue upholstery while the H 2000 is available in four colors. Both models can be purchased with any of the industry-standard arm and legrest configurations.
With the addition of the Hoyer line, Guardian now offers one of the most complete lines of health safety products available from one source. Guardian Products, a division of Sunrise Medical Inc. (NASDAQ: SNMD) designs, manufactures and markets internationally standardized healthcare products used for ambulation and mobility, bathing and toileting, and patient handling. Guardian serves the special needs of the acute chronic patient, the disabled, the aging and their respective caregivers.
