GTSI AWARDED GSA SCHEDULE B/C CONTRACT

GTSI AWARDED GSA SCHEDULE B/C CONTRACT
CHANTILLY, Va., April 24 /PRNewswire/ -- The General Services

Administration (GSA) recently awarded Government Technology Services, Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: GTSI), an ADP Schedule B/C contract covering nearly 5,300 microcomputer products and over 1,400 workstation products from a combined total of over 135 manufacturers. GTSI's 1992-93 Schedule B/C is by far its largest offering to date.
This year's contract includes microcomputer products from the top manufacturers, including IBM, Hewlett-Packard, WordPerfect, Borland, Lotus, 3Com, Software Publishing and Novell. In addition, GTSI's Schedule B/C includes over 400 products from Sun Microsystems Computer Corporation. GTSI's GSA Schedule now includes nearly the full line of Sun SPARCstation products, which are predominantly workstations and peripherals.
New products included on GTSI's Schedule include: new microcomputers from Sigma Designs and ALR and a wide range of Oracle software products for the Sun platform.
"Our microcomputer Schedule offering is our strongest ever," said R.M. Rickenbach, GTSI's president and CEO. "We anticipate that the IBM PS/2 SLC line in particular should make customers 'take notice.' And for those customers who are particularly low-price oriented, our ALR and Sigma Designs microcomputer offerings are our response to the 'cheap clones' that have been attempting to make inroads in the government marketplace."
The company announced price reductions from last year's Schedule for such popular DOS-based software packages as dBASE IV v. 1.5, Lotus 1-2-3 v. 3.1+ and WordPerfect v. 5.1.
Rickenbach added that "the combination of Sun workstations and a full suite of third-party software and peripherals solidifies GTSI's efforts to provide a 'total product solution' for the workstation customer on Schedule."
GTSI is the leading reseller of microcomputer hardware, software and networking products to the federal government market, as well as a reseller of workstations and allied software and peripherals.
