GTSI AWARDED GSA SCHEDULE B/C CONTRACT

CHANTILLY, Va., June 10 /PRNewswire/ -- The General Services Administration (GSA) recently awarded Government Technology Services, Inc. (NASDAQ: GTSI) a 1993-94 Schedule B/C contract, which includes microcomputer hardware, software and peripherals. Last year, total GSA Schedule B/C sales were $671 million, of which GTSI directly captured $152 million, or 22.7 percent. As the largest GSA Schedule holder, GTSI now offers over 5,300 microcomputer products from over 125 manufacturers on its new Schedule B/C.
The Schedule B/C contract includes microcomputer products from top manufacturers, including 3-Com, Compaq, Epson, Grid, Panasonic, Tektronix, Toshiba, and WordPerfect.
New offerings on GTSI's GSA Schedule B/C include products from cutting-edge technologies: for Mobile Computing, GTSI now brings its Government customers the Grid Convertible; for Multimedia applications, GTSI's Schedule B/C now offers the Sound Blaster Multimedia Kit from Creative Labs, and Watch It TV and Super VideoWindows from New Media Graphics; and for Imaging, the Document Processor from Kofax can now be found on GTSI's Schedule.
 R. M. Rickenbach, President and CEO of GTSI, said, "We are very pleased to have a GSA Schedule B/C product offering of such breadth and depth that includes the most popular microcomputer hardware, software and peripherals, as well as many exciting products from emerging technologies. Even as GTSI is uniquely able to meet our customer's microcomputer procurement needs through various other contracts GTSI holds, we recognize that the GSA Schedule is by far one of the most popular of the procurement vehicles available to our Government customers.
"Because of our broad product offering, very competitive prices and unmatched procurement expertise, we anticipate that our 93/94 GSA Schedule B/C will be even more useful and popular a procurement vehicle than in years past."
GTSI is the leading reseller of microcomputer hardware, software, and networking products to the Federal Government market, as well as a reseller of UNIX workstations and allied software and peripherals.
