GTE ELECTS TO REDEEM ITS 10-5/8 PERCENT DEBENTURES DUE 1995.
 STAMFORD, Conn., Aug. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- GTE Corp. (NYSE: GTE) said it has notified holders of its 10-5/8 percent debentures due 1995 (Cusip 362320 - AG-8) that it has elected to redeem the issue at 100.00 percent of the principal amount on Oct. 1, 1992.
