Byline: Daily News

LANCASTER -- The California Escrow Association has announced the revitalization of the Escrow Associates of the Antelope Valley, a nonprofit organization serving escrow professionals.

Increasing development and home sales have created demand for more escrow professionals in the area, officials said.

``The number of escrow processes has quadrupled since 1997,'' said Tamara Stoebe, the organization's new president. ``With this notable increase, we're excited to revive this association and offer an important resource to escrow professionals in the community.''

Stoebe is with Old Republic Title Company in Glendale.

Other officers are Kim Pitts, vice president, from First American Title Company of Los Angeles in Palmdale; Gayle Matthews, secretary, from Gemini Escrow Services Inc. in Lancaster; Marcia Adam, treasurer, from Antelope Valley Escrow in Lancaster; and Vicki Lister, presidential adviser, from Gemini Escrow Services, Inc. in Lancaster.

Board members have planned educational seminars, workshops and dinner meetings for local escrow professionals.

The association serves the communities of Palmdale, Lancaster, Rosamond, Mojave, California City, Acton and Ridgecrest. For more information, contact Stoebe at (661) 466-6849.

Founded in 1956, the California Escrow Association is a statewide organization with more than 2,500 members.
