SHADES OF NERO can continue his rapid rise through the grades in the 12.57pm at Crayford this afternoon.

The former Wimbledon grader has taken well to the tighter contours of this Ladbrokes-owned circuit and has won his last two races over this 380 metres jumps course.

He has been asked a serious question by the handicapper in this race but this son of dual Derby winner Toms The Best is a progressive sort and can take this step up in class in his stride.

While Shades Of Nero steps up in class the reverse is the case for SMART PILOT who can exploit an ease in grade in the opener over 540 metres.

The Droopys Fintan whelp was taking on track champions Blind Pal and Spurring Pilgrim over the holiday period and he looks certain to maker the best of this opportunity.

SWIFT SPORT, kennel mate of Shades Of Nero, has been campaigned in sprints on the open race circuit and may have the speed to build a long lead n the second race of the morning at 11.23am.

NOVAN is another whose early foot might prove the difference between success and failure from box five in the 11.58am at Romford BAGS's meeting.
