HELPING the environment doesn't have to involve making drastic changes. We can all do our bit by taking small steps in the things we buy. Over the next few weeks, we'll be offering a few useful suggestions.

[bar]LOOK out for environmentally-friendly beauty products. By supporting small producers you can get some unique and beautiful items that feel far more luxurious than their mass-produced counterparts.

Mother Earth is a great example of this - they're a boutique beauty business, using all natural ingredients and only recyclable packaging. Their Raindrops and Roses Body Butter (pounds 18.39 from LoveLula through, below, is an all-over body treatment for dry skin.

Mother Earth blend an infusion of comfrey leaves with the exotic essential oils of rose absolute & geranium. They then stir in the richly moisturising avocado oil and melted beeswax. Shea nut butter is added to ensure that this all-over body butter will nurture your skin using nature's heavy duty skin repairers. It's a Green Beauty bible award winner, and it's easy to see why.

[bar] ANOTHER simple way to do your bit is by buying more recycled household products. Ecoforce is a range of practical, effective household products made entirely from recycled materials including recycled kitchen sponges, scourers, cloths, dusters, recycled pegs, pegbasket and clothes lines. All products are made from at least 90% recycled waste here in the UK. EcoForce is available in Sainsbury, Tesco, Morrison, Oxfam, Homebase and B&Q.
