 PRESIDENT AND GENERAL MANAGER OF WDAF-TV
 CINCINNATI, Dec. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- John P. Zanotti, president of the Television Group of Great American Broadcasting Company today announced the promotion of Edward Piette, from vice president and general manager to president and general manager of WDAF-TV, Kansas City, Mo.
 "Under Ed Piette's leadership, WDAF is making great strides in two areas: broadcasting news and other programming which meet the needs of our viewers, and delivering the kinds of audiences that our advertisers want to reach. This promotion reflects the scope of responsibilities that Ed has assumed as the chief operating officer for WDAF-TV."
 Piette joined Great American Broadcasting Company as vice president and general manager of WDAF-TV in September 1991. Prior to that, he was vice president/general manager/station manager of KSDK-TV, St. Louis, Mo., since 1989. For Multimedia, he has also been interim general manager of WZTV, Nashville, Tenn. Piette's extensive experience in broadcasting also includes vice president, general manager of KTIV, Sioux City, Iowa and vice president, station manager of KWWL, Waterloo, Iowa, both stations owned by American Family Broadcast Group. He began his broadcasting career in 1969 at WXON, Inc., Detroit, as a producer and worked in various programming and production capacities with Kaiser Broadcasting (WKBD, Detroit) and Post Newsweek, Inc. at WDIV, Detroit, WFSB, Hartford, Conn., and WJXT, Jacksonville, Fla.
 In addition to WDAF-TV, Great American Broadcasting Company owns four network affiliated television stations: WTSP, Tampa-St. Petersburg, Fla.; WKRC-TV, Cincinnati; KTSP-TV, Phoenix, Ariz.; and WBRC-TV, Birmingham, Ala. The company has announced its pending acquisition of WGHP-TV, High Point, N.C. Great American also owns 12 FM and six AM radio stations in the nation's top fifty markets.
 Great American Broadcasting Company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Great American Communications Company (NASDAQ: GACC). GACC's common stock trades over-the-counter under the symbol GACC.
