GREASY SPOON CHEF IN IRAQ TRAINING 'SCAM' EXPOSED Security guard firm in probe.

Byline: BY JEANETTE OLDHAM

A FORMER greasy spoon chef is under investigation for training Midland men to become private bodyguards in Iraq.

The young cook is said to have no military training but has been preparing security guards to work in the war-torn country. The Sunday Mercury has discovered that Trading Standards is investigating complaints about his Midland company.

The firm has been accused of making false claims about the qualifications it offers and failing to run courses it has been paid for.

Last night, an exams watchdog said: "Students are being misled by what appears to be tantamount to fraud."
