GRC INTERNATIONAL APPOINTS FORMER SRI EXECUTIVE TO STRENGTHEN
STRATEGIC PLANNING AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES
VIENNA, Va., May 26 /PRNewswire/ -- GRC International, Inc., (NYSE: GRH; PSE: GRH) today announced the appointment of Joseph J. Eash, III to a newly created position, corporate vice president. He will be responsible for the company's strategic planning and business development activities.
The creation of this corporate executive position represents further progression of the company's strategic business planning initiative, which concentrates GRC International's business development efforts on those government activities that are growing (e.g., information systems) while increasing its efforts toward commercial initiatives.
Eash had previously been a senior vice president of SRI International's Engineering Research Group, where he managed an operation with annual revenues equivalent to GRC International in the fields of information science, communication, senior technology, and system engineering. He focused on expanding commercial markets as well as formulating a strategic plan addressing long term programs such as: environment, software development, and simulation and modeling.
Eash retired as a colonel from the United States Air Force in 1986 after a distinguished career. His assignments entailed a broad range of domestic and international responsibilities, including the management of new technology development and high technology programs, and participation in joint government/industry projects. Eash continues to serve numerous government/industry initiatives.
GRC International (acting) President and Chief Executive Officer, Jim Roth, said, "Joe Eash will pilot GRC International's challenge of charting its strategic direction. He enhances the company's leadership potential in the fields of emerging technologies and strengthens our capability to merge the future needs of a technology-driven, information-based world. Joe is a true complement to a management team dedicated to providing our clients with the highest quality products and services."
