            GRC INTERNATIONAL ANNOUNCES PARTICIPATION IN
                MAJOR INFORMATION SYSTEMS CONTRACT
VIENNA, Va., Dec. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- GRC International, Inc. (NYSE, PSE: GRH) announced today that its largest subsidiary, General Research Corporation (GRC), is a member of a contractor team led by Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) which has been awarded the Joint Computer Aided Acquisition and Logistics Support (JCALS) contract. CSC has estimated that the 12-year effort may result in revenues of up to $740 million for the CSC team. GRC estimates that it will realize revenues of approximately $6.5 million in the aggregate over the first two years of the contract with future revenues to be determined during the design efforts that will take place over the coming months.
The JCALS program will develop a system to link over 240 armed services and defense logistics sites across the country and will enable the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) to replace the paper-laden weapons system logistics process with electronic data interchange. GRC is a major subcontractor on the CSC team that will provide a standard system for both the DOD and industry to transfer vast amounts of information, such as technical manuals, engineering drawings and other documentation, in electronic form. GRC's role on the CSC team is in the area of advanced data base technology. The CSC team was selected as a result of a three-year competition that involved eight contractor teams. The work will be performed at CSC's site in Moorestown, N.J.
GRC President Jim Roth said, "JCALS is a significant win because it allows us to continue to push the technology envelope in the area of advanced database design and development, and the CALS technology we are developing has tremendous potential in the commercial market as well."
GRC International, based in Vienna, Va., is a nationally recognized provider of military, civil, and commercial innovative, high-quality technical and professional services to U.S. government agencies and large aerospace corporations.
