GRAND CASINOS CONTRIBUTES TO MINNESOTA CAUSES; OVER $100,000 GIVEN FOR YEAR

 MINNEAPOLIS, Jan. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Grand Casinos, Inc. (NASDAQ: GRND) today announced the recipients of its Grand Program grants to area groups for the last two quarters of 1993. The grants total $29,500 for two quarters and over $100,000 for the year. Tom Brosig, Grand Casinos' President, stated, "Grand Casinos is thrilled to be able to provide these grants to organizations in need. We are clearly committed to being good corporate citizens within our community, and these grants should demonstrate that commitment."
 The Grand Program earmarks funds for groups who are dedicated to providing preventive efforts and long-term solutions to human and community needs. The program was founded by Grand Casinos in 1992 and has distributed over $100,000 since inception.
