GRAND CASINOS, INC. CORRECTS NEWS REPORTS; OTHER PROJECTS PROGRESSING ON SCHEDULE

 MINNEAPOLIS, June 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Grand Casinos, Inc. (NASDAQ: GRND) today corrected erroneous press reports that the company had been bypassed for a riverboat casino license in New Orleans. Tom Brosig, president, reported that the company had not applied for a riverboat license, does not operate riverboats and has not targeted New Orleans as part of its expansion program. "One erroneous report was published in The New York Times over the weekend and the same inaccuracy has since been retransmitted by other news outlets," Brosig said. "For the record, we continue to focus on dockside gaming and Indian Gaming in selected markets and are quite happy with our progress to date in those areas that are part of our strategic plan."
