GRANCARE NAMES SENIOR VICE PRESIDENTS

 CULVER CITY, Calif., Feb. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- GranCare Inc. (NASDAQ: GRNC) announced today the promotions of Kay L. Brown, Kerry Nielson and Peter J. Steenblock to senior vice presidents of the company.
 "These appointments illustrate our desire to promote from within the company whenever possible," stated Gene E. Burleson, president and chief executive officer. "These individuals have demonstrated the type of management talent GranCare needs as it continues on an aggressive growth path."
 Promoted from vice president of home health care, Brown will retain these responsibilities but will also over see the company's rehabilitation services and the Michigan facilities operations. She joined GranCare in June 1992.
 Nielson will assume the responsibilities of managing the Wisconsin, Colorado, Arizona and South Dakota facilities operations as well as the company's pharmacy operations, where he previously served as vice president and director when he joined the company in 1988.
 Steenblock, promoted from vice president and director of southwest operations, will oversee GranCare's California facilities network. Steenblock joined the company in November 1990.
 GranCare operates 84 long-term health care facilities located in California, Wisconsin, Colorado, Arizona, South Dakota and Michigan, as well as four institutional pharmacies. The company reported revenues of $175 million and net income of $3.8 million for the year ended Dec. 31, 1991, and revenues of $201.1 million and net income of $6.6 million for the nine months ended Sept. 30, 1992.
