GRANCARE NAMES PHARMACY VICE PRESIDENT CULVER CITY, Calif., June 1 /PRNewswire/ -- GranCare Inc.
(NASDAQ: GRNC) has named Kay L. Brown vice president of home healthcare for its GCI Pharmacies Inc. subsidiary. She will be responsible for expanding GranCare's infusion therapies, skilled nursing, and other pharmacy services into the home healthcare market.
Brown brings over 15 years of home healthcare experience to GranCare, most recently serving as president and chief executive officer of the Visiting Nurse Associations of America (VNAA), a national membership organization of 170 visiting nurse agencies throughout the United States. She also served as corporate marketing specialist for the Visiting Nurse Association of Denver and as regional staff specialist at UpJohn Healthcare Services in that city. "Kay Brown's considerable experience in the field of home healthcare gives GranCare an added edge in this rapidly growing market as we continue to expand our pharmacy business," said Kerry Nielson, president, GCI Pharmacies Inc. A registered nurse and author of numerous industry publications, Brown holds an M.P.A. degree from the University of Colorado and a B.S.N. degree from Creighton University.
