GRANCARE NAMES PHARMACY VICE PRESIDENT CULVER CITY, Calif., April 17 /PRNewswire/ -- GranCare Inc.
(NASDAQ: GRNC) has named Nathan M. Silver vice president of California operations for GCI Pharmacies Inc., a subsidiary of GranCare Inc. The announcement was made by Kerry Nielson, vice president and director of pharmacy operations.
Silver comes to GranCare with more than 15 years of pharmacy experience as a licensed pharmacist, most recently with Pharmacy Corporation of America, a subsidiary of Beverly Enterprises, where he served as vice president of operations. He has managed pharmacy operations in practice settings, including hospital, long-term care and infusion therapy. "Bringing Nathan Silver on board represents our commitment to expanding the scope of our pharmacy operations," said Nielson. "We are pleased to have someone of his stature in the industry as part of our team." Silver also served in pharmaceutical management at Glendale Adventist Medical Center, at Kaiser Permanente-Sunset Medical Center in Los Angeles and at CVS Pharmacy in Paramus, N.J. He holds a master of business administration degree from Pepperdine University and a bachelor of science degree in pharmacy from Rutgers University. He is a licensed pharmacist in California and New Jersey, and is a Long-Term Care Committee member of the California Board of Pharmacy.
