 GRANCARE APPOINTS NEW BOARD MEMBER
 CULVER CITY, Calif., July 6 /PRNewswire/ -- GranCare Inc.


(NASDAQ: GRNC) today announced that Antoinette Hubenette, M.D., has been elected to its board of directors, bringing the total number of members to seven.
 Hubenette is a partner in the Medical Group of Beverly Hills Inc., specializing in the field of internal medicine with an emphasis in geriatric care. She is also an attending staff physician at both the Cedars-Sinai and Midway Hospital Medical Centers in Los Angeles.
 "We are fortunate to have an individual of Dr. Hubenette's stature associated with GranCare," stated Gene E. Burleson, president and chief executive officer. "Her contributions will be of great value as the company expands its operations into a broader range of health care services."
 Prior to establishing her current practice in 1982, Hubenette was in private practice in Illinois and served as a staff physician at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Medical School.
 A resident of Beverly Hills, Calif., she holds a doctor of medicine degree and bachelor of science degree in zoology from George Washington University, as well as a bachelor of arts degree in mathematics from the University of California at Berkeley.
 Hubenette is a member of the American and California Medical Associations, the Los Angeles County Medical Women's Association, the Los Angeles Society of Internal Medicine and the Royal Society of Medicine.
 GranCare operates 66 long-term health care facilities located in California, Wisconsin, Colorado, Arizona, Illinois and South Dakota, as well as four institutional pharmacies. GranCare reported revenues of $175 million and net income of $3.8 million, or $.69 per share, for the year ended Dec. 31, 1991.
