GRACO INC. PRESIDENT TO LEAVE COMPANY

MINNEAPOLIS, Jan. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Graco Inc. (NYSE: GGG) of Minneapolis today announced that Walter E. Weyler, president and chief operating officer, is leaving the company. Weyler will also resign from the Graco Inc. board of directors.
"During the past year, we have been conducting a complete strategic appraisal of the company. It has become apparent during that process that Walt and I have important differences of perspective and emphasis. He and I jointly concluded that this change is in his best interests, and those of the company. Walt has made substantial contributions to Graco, and I appreciate what he has accomplished for the company in his time here," said David A. Koch, Graco's chairman and chief executive officer. Koch, who has been chief executive officer of Graco since 1962, will also immediately assume the duties performed by the president and chief operating officer.
"Since 1985," Weyler said, "Graco's earnings and share price have done well, and I have had a rewarding personal experience. It is time now for this positive change, which will benefit everyone." Weyler also said that he had no specific plans to announce at this time.
