 GRACE EXPANDS EUROPEAN DEARBORN BUSINESS;
 TO BUILD $1.7 MILLION GLOBAL RESEARCH FACILITY
 BOCA RATON, Fla., Sept. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- W. R. Grace & Co. (NYSE: GRA) today announced a $1.7 million expansion of its Grace Dearborn water treatment research facility in Antwerp, Belgium.
 The new facility, to be completed by the end of 1992, will expand research facilities and increase employment from an average of 64 people to an estimated 85 employees by 1996. A second floor will be added to the existing building to house the new Dearborn Technical Center, Pilot Plant, Equipment Design and Development Center and European Training Center.
 When completed, the Antwerp research facility will form the European part of Grace Dearborn's global research establishment and will work closely with its North American counterpart in Lake Zurich, Ill.
 Antwerp was chosen for expansion because of its central European location, as well as its close proximity to excellent universities which will encourage recruitment of scientists.
 Grace Dearborn provides water treatment products and services, fuel treatment and combustion services, and process chemicals for the paper, fermentation, oil processing, sugar and food industries.
 Grace is the world's largest specialty chemicals company with a leadership position in health care.
