 GRACE'S CRYOVAC UNIT COMPLETES PURCHASE
 OF DU PONT CANADA'S FOODSERVICE PACKAGING BUSINESS
 BOCA RATON, Fla., March 5 /PRNewswire/ -- W. R. Grace & Co. (NYSE: GRA) today announced its Cryovac Division has completed the purchase of Du Pont Canada's foodservice packaging business. The transaction was valued at approximately $20 million.
 Included in the transaction are Du Pont Canada's vertical form fill seal equipment and plastic packaging materials sold for pumpable food applications in North America. Grace's worldwide annual sales of packaging materials total about $1.5 billion.
 "This purchase complements Cryovac's foodservice packaging business," said J. Peter Grace, chairman and chief executive officer. "Of our six core business areas, Cryovac flexible packaging represents a principal line of business with a significant global presence."
 The six core business areas, as publicly announced in Grace's worldwide strategic business plan, include flexible packaging, container sealants, construction products, water treatment, catalysts and other silica-based products, and health care.
 Grace is the world's largest specialty chemicals company with a leadership position in health care.
