GPMI invests in core divisions.

New manufacturing technologies as well as a new infrastructure are expected to support future growth for GPMI Company, Gilbert, AZ. Representing a $6 million investment, these efforts are focused on two of GPMI's core business: wet wipes and ultrasonic welding. Two wipe lines have been added to the company's existing wet wipe operations. One is a high-speed, fully automated canister line with an emphasis on canister size flexibility, sanitation and built-in control systems; the second is a soft-pack line with the ability to produce all wet wipe configurations including soft packs, tubs and refills. Additionally, after 18 months of development and engineering, GPMI has completed its unique, state-of-the-art sonic welding lines capable of ultrasonically bonding up to eight layers of nonwovens. These lines are designed to yield the highest quality products with great production flexibility.
