GP Strategies buys Rovsing Dynamics.

27 September 2012 - US performance improvement specialist GP Strategies Corp (NYSE:GPX) said that it had acquired operating assets of Danish vibration condition monitoring solutions provider Rovsing Dynamics A/S.

The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Through the deal, GP Strategies adds an office in Copenhagen, Denmark and enlarges its performance engineering footprint into Russia, Brazil and China for oil and gas, maritime and wind power industry services, the buyer said.

Rovsing Dynamics' solutions improve rotating equipment downtime management though early detection of developing faults. The company's software-based system, OPENpredictor, which can be applied in machinery such as turbines, generators, gear boxes and pumps, and its AutoDiagnosis solution enhance GP Strategies' EtaPRO Performance & Condition Monitoring System with on-line predictive vibration condition monitoring and diagnostics capabilities.

The transaction also involves the transfer to the buyer of the Danish company's contract backlog. GP Strategies will retain Rovsing Dynamics' business and technical staff, the US firm said.

GP Strategies is headquartered in Elkridge, Maryland. Its solutions include sales and technical training, eLearning solutions, management consulting and engineering services and are aimed at raising the effectiveness of enterprises. The company caters to commercial and government clients, including firms in the manufacturing, process and energy sectors.

Rovsing Dynamics is based in Herlev, Denmark.
