GOV. ENGLER TO ANNOUNCE WORLD CUP COMMISSION

 PONTIAC, Mich., March 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Michigan Gov. John Engler will announce the formation of a Governor's Commission on World Cup soccer at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 23, in the Main Event banquet room of the Pontiac Silverdome. Members of the new commission, comprised of statewide business and civic leaders, will attend.
 In addition, World Cup USA 1994 Chairman and CEO Alan Rothenberg will provide an overview of the planning for World Cup games to be played at nine U.S. venues, including the Silverdome. Rothenberg and several executives from the Los Angeles-based World Cup organizing committee will be visiting the Detroit area to tour the Silverdome and conduct meetings with local World Cup officials.
 The Pontiac Silverdome will host four opening-round World Cup games June 18, 22, 24 and 28, 1994.
