GOV. CASEY APPOINTS DER DEPUTY SECRETARY
 HARRISBURG, Pa., Feb. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Gov. Robert P. Casey today announced the appointment of John W. Brosious of Mechanicsburg, Cumberland County, Pa., as deputy secretary for public liaison in the Department of Environmental Resources.
 Brosious, 36, who served as DER's local government liaison since 1987, will be responsible for coordinating the department's legislative, local government, congressional, community and media relations programs.
 From 1984 to 1987, Brosious was a Lehigh County commissioner and served as chairman of the county planning committee. During that same time, he was a supervisor for AT&T Technology Systems in Allentown, Pa.
 Prior to that, he served in various positions for Whitehall Township, Lehigh County, including assistant township executive, community development director and chief of planning, zoning and development.
 A graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Brosious earned a master's degree in public administration from The Pennsylvania State University.
