TOMATO FESTIVAL

If you're a tomato fan, mark your calendar - and make some travel plans. Kendall-Jackson celebrates its 10th anniversary Heirloom Tomato Festival on Sept 9. The day devoted to tomatoes features a tasting of more than 175 heirloom varieties, a culinary chef's challenge, food, wine, live music and an art show. Tickets go on sale May 1, and are $50 per person through June 30. After that, they are $60 per person. Don't wait, because the event sells out every year. The festival will benefit the School Garden Network of Sonoma County. To order tickets, call (800) 769-3649, or visit www.kj.com.
