GOOD SAMARITAN LEFT IN COMA; Attacked dad suffers brain damage as he tries to help.

Byline: Lisa Jones

A FIRST-AIDER dad who was attacked as he went to help someone in a car park is unlikely to recover, his parents said today.

Nick Baty, 48, has been in a coma since he was assaulted near the Physique Gym, Brackla, a month ago today.

The keen surfer had been at the wake of a golfing friend before he was attacked.

It is thought that the trained first-aider had gone to help someone in the car park when he was assaulted.

His dad John, 79, mum Mary, 82, and twin brothers Joss and Simon kept a bedside vigil this weekend, after doctors said Nick was unlikely to survive.

Mr Baty said today: "He will never recover. It's dreadful."
