 GODFREY ENGINEERING JOINS BF GOODRICH AEROSPACE
 AKRON, Ohio, Dec. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- The BFGoodrich Company


(NYSE: GR) today announced that it has acquired Godfrey Engineering, Inc. Godfrey will be operated as an independent business unit within the BFGoodrich Aerospace Instruments & Avionics Group. Terms were not disclosed.
 Located near Tampa in Oldsmar, Fla., Godfrey employs about 115 people and has built a solid reputation on the design and manufacture of electro-optical systems, especially airport and aircraft lighting equipment. According to BFGoodrich Aerospace Group vice president Wes Perry, "Godfrey engineers have demonstrated the ability to provide innovative solutions to critical aircraft lighting challenges. This makes Godfrey an especially good strategic fit within our growing range of products and services for the aerospace industry."
 In addition to flight instruments and avionics equipment, BFGoodrich Aerospace designs and manufactures aircraft wheels and brakes, ice protection and evacuation systems, m?easurement and fuel management systems, engine electrical equipment and provides a wide range of aircraft and component modification, repair and overhaul services.
 Other BFGoodrich Aerospace facilities in Florida include Engineered Polymer Products, Jacksonville; Simmonds Precision Product Support Operations; Ft. Lauderdale; Castleberry Instruments & Avionics repair station, Miami, and an Evacuation Systems Service Center, also in Miami.
 BFGoodrich Aerospace, with sales expected to be about $700 million in 1991, is a division of The BFGoodrich Company. Both are headquartered in Akron, Ohio.
