SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Dec. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Go-Video, Inc. (AMEX: VCR) today announced that it plans to introduce The Next Generation 3000 series of eight new state-of-the-art, fully featured Dual-Deck VCRs to be unveiled to retailers on Jan. 7, 1993, at the Consumer Electronics Show held in Las Vegas. GO-Video's announcement revealed that all of these new models will feature its proprietary one- touch copying with patented enhanced AmeriChrome circuitry plus ASF (Automatic Show Finder) with date-time stamp and indexing, Video Sequencing, camcorder ready capability, and other proprietary features at costs which will enable retailers to offer a range of price points from $499 to $999 to consumers. This introduction of various models and incremental pricing gives GO-Video the opportunity to sell to an even broader spectrum of retailers. Consumers now will have a choice of Dual- Deck VCRs, depending on their budget or desires for higher-end features such as Hi Fi MTS stereo and easy video editing with special features, titling, audio dub, camcorder tape duplicating, slow motion recording, etc.
GO-Video, in keeping with its byline, "Video technology in fast forward," also announced that the U.S. Patent Office on Jan. 5, 1993, will issue another Dual-Deck VCR patent (No. 5,177,618) assigned to the company. The company now holds the exclusive rights to multiple patents with additional patents pending. The company has expressed that it will aggressively enforce its proprietary rights.
