GO: CINEMA: OTHER NEW FILMS.

Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous (12) 1hr 55mins

Sequel to the 2000 hit that lacks the pizzazz and sparkle of the first film - not to mention the comic genius of Michael Caine. However, it does have its moments. Sandra Bullock (right) carries the film through many of the longueurs, polishing some of the lack-lustre dialogue. 2 STARS

Melinda and Melinda (12A) 1hr 39mins

Woody Allen's latest pithy comedy is quite literally of two halves - one comedy, the other tragedy. Both unfold against a backdrop of Allen's familiar New York playground of plush apartments, parks and eateries - and both feature unhappily married couples. But neither incarnation of Melinda (Radha Mitchell) is particularly endearing. 2 STARS I am David (PG) 1hr 32mins

A young boy escapes a grim Bulgarian prison camp and sets off to deliver a letter he's been instructed to deliver to Copenhagen. Adaptation of Anne Holm's 1963 novel North of Freedom. (Warwick Arts Centre). 3 STARS
