 GM CHAIRMAN ADMITTED TO HOSPITAL
 DETROIT, Oct. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- General Motors Chairman Robert C.


Stempel was admitted to a Washington, D.C. hospital this afternoon after feeling ill.
 Mr. Stempel, 59, was meeting with a representative of the Conference Board at the Willard Hotel shortly after noon when he became ill. Emergency medical personnel took him to George Washington University Hospital where he was admitted for observation. He is resting comfortably while undergoing further tests.
