GM APPOINTMENT

 DETROIT, Nov. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- The appointment of Leonard P. Marsico as director of electronic communications for General Motors' North American Operations (NAO) was announced today by William J. O'Neill, director, NAO Communications Staff. Marsico has been manager of General Motors Internal News Bureau. In his new assignment, he reports to O'Neill.
 Marsico has responsibility for developing and managing all internal and external electronic communication mechanisms and content including the GM Satellite Network, Pulsat Dealer Satellite Network and the GM Newswire. He was a producer/director for WUCM-TV in Bay City/ Saginaw, Mich., from 1972 to 1981. He also served as manager of video productions for Wickes Lumber Company in Saginaw prior to joining General Motors (NYSE: GM).
 He joined General Motors as a supervisor of public relations at its Saginaw Division in 1983. In 1986, he moved to the General Motors Corporate Employee Communication Staff in Detroit as manager of video productions.
 Marsico, 44, was born in Lorain, Ohio. He received a bachelor of fine arts in communications from the University of Cincinnati in 1971 and a M.A. in speech from the University of Michigan in 1972.
 Marsico and his wife, Linda, reside in West Bloomfield, Mich.
