GM ANNUAL MEETING TO BE HELD IN OKLAHOMA CITY

DETROIT, March 2 /PRNewswire/ -- General Motors' annual meeting of stockholders will be held in the home town of the GM Midsize Car Division Oklahoma City Assembly Plant, GM Chief Executive Officer and President John F. Smith, Jr., said today.
The meeting is scheduled for 9 a.m. (CDT), May 21, 1993, at the Myriad Convention Center in Oklahoma City.
"Holding the meeting in Oklahoma City will provide GM stockholders with the opportunity to see first hand the people and the processes that helped this plant achieve the top rating by J.D. Power and Associates as the highest quality assembly plant in the North America," Mr. Smith said.
The assembly plant currently produces Oldsmobile Ceira and Buick Century models.
"The decision to meet in Oklahoma City," Mr. Smith explained, "is in line with the desire of the GM Board of Directors and management to hold the annual meeting in a variety of GM-affiliated communities, affording an opportunity to meet with stockholders from different regions."
Last year's annual shareholders' meeting was held in Fort Wayne, Ind., which is the home of the GM North American Truck Platforms Fort Wayne Assembly Plant.
