In this new position, Dajnowicz, formerly Pontiac's zone sales manager in Pittsburgh, will oversee sales and service of GM North American vehicles and assist with new business development activities in the new republics of the former Soviet Union.

GM Kenya Ltd., located in Nairobi, assembles imported commercial vehicles from Isuzu Motor Company in Japan, the Opel Astra from GM's German subsidiary, and other non-U.S. source GM products.
Dajnowicz, 56, holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Wayne State University, and a master's degree in management-industrial sales from the University of Utah. A 30-year veteran of Pontiac Motor Division, Dajnowicz began his career in 1962 as a suggestion committee representative. In 1963, he became a warranty claims adjuster and was named a service technical representative in 1965.
Following several assignments in Pontiac's Detroit zone, in 1971 Dajnowicz was transferred to the Jacksonville, Fla., zone as office manager and car distributor. In 1976, he was named fleet manager in Jacksonville and was transferred to Pontiac's Denver office as assistant zone manager in 1977.
