GM, UAW AND THE LOS ANGELES UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT TO ANNOUNCE THE OPENING OF VAN NUYS EMPLOYEE EDUCATIONAL TRAINING FACILITY, AUG. 31
 General Motors, the United Auto Workers (UAW) and the Los Angeles Unified School District will hold a ceremony announcing the opening of the GM Van Nuys assembly plant's employee educational training facility on Monday, Aug. 31, at 9 a.m.
 The educational facility, called the Skill Center, will be available to all GM Van Nuys UAW-represented employees and their spouses. The classes will be taught by teachers from the Los Angeles Unified School District. Approximately 150 employees will be attending the Skill Center.
 The Skill Center opening will include remarks by GM, the UAW and the Los Angeles Unified School District. There also will be a tour of the educational facility. The plant is located at 8000 Van Nuys Blvd., in Van Nuys.
