 GLOBAL HEALTH SCIENCES FUND INITIAL PUBLIC OFFERING
 NEW YORK, Jan. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- The Global Health Sciences Fund


expects, subject to final clearance by the Securities and Exchange Commission, to limit its proposed initial public offering to 20 million shares, exclusive of any exercise of the underwriters' over-allotment option. PaineWebber Incorporated (books), Nomura Securities International, Inc. and Raymond James & Associates, Inc. are acting as managing underwriters for the transaction.
 The investment objective of the Fund is to seek capital appreciation through investment in equity and related securities of U.S. and foreign companies principally engaged in the development, production or distribution of products or services relating to the health sciences (Health Science Companies). The principal industry groups of Health Science Companies are: Pharmaceuticals; Biotechnology; Medical Equipment, Devices and Supplies; and Health Care Delivery.
 Under normal market conditions, at least 80 percent of the Fund's assets will be invested in equity and related securities of Health Science Companies. Up to 20 percent of the Fund's assets may be invested, in the aggregate, in: equity and related securities of companies engaged, but less than principally, in the health sciences or in supplying goods or services to Health Science Companies, or of non-Health Science Companies which benefit from the growth and development of Health Science Companies or in real estate investment trusts that hold at least 50 percent of their interests in facilities of Health Science Companies (Related Companies) and non-convertible debt securities of Health Science Companies and Related Companies. Up to 25 percent of the Fund's assets may be invested in securities for which there is no readily available secondary market, including private placements, venture capital opportunities, joint ventures and partnerships. At least 65 percent of the Fund's assets will be invested in at least three countries, one of which is expected to be the United States.
 INVESCO Trust Company, an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of INVESCO MIM plc, serves as investment adviser to the Fund.
 The Fund's shares have been approved for listing, subject to notice of issuance, on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol GHS.
