GLOBAL ANNOUNCES SOUTH TIMBALIER RESERVOIR EXTENSION

 HOUSTON, Dec. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Global Natural Resources Inc. (NYSE: GNR) reported today the second well drilled on South Timbalier Block 277 in the Gulf of Mexico (GNR working interest 20 percent) encountered 27 feet of net gas pay at a depth of 6,700 feet. The well is a 4,300 foot extension to the Pleistocene reservoir discovered in the first well drilled in December 1992. Further development plans include the setting of a platform in 1994.
 General Atlantic is operator of the block with 50 percent and PG&E Resources Offshore Company holds 30 percent. Global Natural Resources is engaged in worldwide oil and gas exploration and production and in natural gas gathering, processing and marketing. The company has operations and interests in North America, Tatarstan - Russia, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Ivory Coast.
